HELLO FRIENDS, FANS, AND FOLLOWERS OF SAMESTATE

After the release of our first album "The Alignment," almost a year ago, SAMESTATE is ready to move forward and make our sophomore record. "The Alignment" had two songs (Hurricane, Shadows) reach the Top 5 on the Christian CHR Radio Charts. This was a great fingerprint of where we had been, and where we were at the time. What we didn't know is that it would be the launching pad to a very tough and challenging season for us.

We loved our team at Sparrow Records (EMI/CMG) and we were so fortunate to work with them over the last two years. Unfortunately, with the climate of the record industry and natural differences in direction, we decided to part ways with our label. It was the best decision for both sides. With these challenges came new vision & new music. OUR VISION FOR THIS EP

Between melodies and lyrics, there is a song that moves people. Our favorite songs are ones that move us emotionally, mentally.... and sometimes physically.

We are blessed to have the amazing opportunity to be messengers for people who can not necessarily sing their feelings into a microphone, or sometimes people who can't speak at all. We take this as a very heavy responsibility and want to be that voice again with this next EP.

This is going to be an exclusive, fan supported EP. "What does that mean?", you ask? All roads lead to making a full length record in the future, but we don't want to keep y'all waiting any longer to hear new music! THE ONLY WAY TO RECEIVE THE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD OF THIS EP IS TO PLEDGE. In addition to receiving the EP, there are loads of other rewards listed on the right based on the level of your contribution! The cost to make this EP is $10,000. It's important to understand how a Kickstarter works; we do not receive ANY of your pledges unless we obtain the entire goal. We believe that our fans and supporters are easily capable of hitting this goal and even going far beyond it. Every pledge is greatly appreciated and is a massive blessing. So thank you, in advance, for not only your pledges, but your prayers and continued support today and over the past 4 years. It truly is humbling and means the world to us.
